Privacy policy

Protect­ing your personal data is very impor­tant to us, which is why we process your data accord­ing to legal provi­sions (GDPR, TKG 2003). This privacy policy informs you about the most impor­tant aspects of data process­ing on our website.

When visit­ing our website, your IP-address, the begin­ning and end as well as the dura­tion of the session will all be recorded. There are tech­ni­cal reasons for this proce­dure, which make it a legit­i­mate inter­est within the mean­ing of Art. 6 (1) lit f GDPR. Unless affected by other regu­la­tions, this data is not further processed by us.

Contacting us

If you contact us via the form on our website or via email, the data provided by you will be stored by us for an unde­fined period of time in order for us to process your request and in the case of any follow up ques­tions. We will not share this data with any third parties with­out your consent.
If you are an exchange student and send a request via the online request form, we will forward your data to the Univer­sity of Applied Sciences FH Vorarl­berg for admin­is­tra­tive reasons. A notice will inform you of this before you submit the form. By submit­ting the form, you agree to us shar­ing this data with FH Vorarlberg.


Our website uses so-called cook­ies. Cook­ies are small text files that can be stored on your device through the browser. They do not harm your device in any way.

Cook­ies are used to analyse how visi­tors use our website. This infor­ma­tion is trans­ferred to the providers’ server and is stored there.

If you do not want this infor­ma­tion to be stored, you can change your browser settings to make sure that no cook­ies are stored.
We have concluded a contract with the provider regard­ing contract data processing.
Although your IP-address is regis­tered, it is imme­di­ately pseu­do­nymised (e.g. by delet­ing the last 8 Bit). This ensures that only an approx­i­mate local­i­sa­tion is possible.

The data is processed based on the legal provi­sions as in § 96 (3) TKG as well as Art. 6 (1) lit a (consent) and/or f (legit­i­mate inter­est) accord­ing to GDPR.

Our purpose within the mean­ing of GDPR (legit­i­mate inter­est) is to improve our offer and our web pres­ence. Our users’ privacy is impor­tant to us and all user data is there­fore pseudonymised.

User data is stored for a period of 26 months.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase any of your data stored by us. You also have the right to restrict process­ing, the right to data porta­bil­ity, the right to with­draw consent and the right object.
