Live and learn at ERNAS HAUS
As farmers, winter is a period of rest for us, which gives us the possibility to dedicate ourselves to other things. It has taken us four winters to create ERNAS HAUS. The architects from Vorarlberg Ludescher + Lutz designed the project, which was then built with plenty of effort from us personally as well as some help from local craftspeople. ERNAS HAUS is a timber structure made of silver fir and ash tree. The studio apartments are furnished with oiled birch plywood and linoleum floors – and in case you’re wondering, the colour is grass green 6010, just like the legendary tractors by Fend. The walls have been painted with a magnetic paint, so that you can easily display all of your personal belongings. You’ll also find anything and everything you need to live and work comfortably, including internet access. Our 18 studios are one-room apartments with an average of 16 m². Ten of our studios have their own balcony.
